The City of Boston choose Castle Square as the host site for the South End neighborhood’s National Night Out™, a community celebration featuring music, a cook-out and activities for children. Mayor Marty Walsh and Commissioner William B. Evans joined the festiivites, now in its 20th year.
National Night Out™ is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Neighbors participate across thousands of communities from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.
"Our relationships [with the community] form the basis for successful community policing efforts and strengthen the partnership between the residents of this city and the police," stated the Boston Police Department on its offical website.
A special thank you to the Castle Square Tenants Organization for hosting National Night Out™.
